Rose Lane Farm

Rose Lane Farm, built in 1873, is a family operated farm owned by David and Julie Jeavons.  We are raising bees for honey, sheep for wool and meat, llamas for fiber, and chickens and ducks for eggs and meat.
Located just south of Rocky Mount and southwest of Smith Mountain Lake, we have expanded our farm to include many seasonal fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs all grown using organic growing methods. Throughout all four seasons we offer fresh food available for the local community plus educational tours.  In addition, we provide home baked cookies, cakes and pies,  using fresh fruit in each season as it is available.  Our raw wool, llama fiber and handspun skeins of yarn dyed with our natural plant-based dyes are also available.  Come visit soon.

Currently our small community garden feeds employees of the EcoVillage, but a larger garden and orchard are in the works and will eventually support a small community restaurant and kitchen.
